As we cross the mid-way point of June, there's a distinct feeling in the air. The grills are being polished, the local nurseries are bustling, and we're all thinking about the men and the mentors who helped us plant our roots. 

At Legacy Home Collective, we talk a lot about "Legacy." To us, it's not just about a house - it's about the traditions passed down through generations. This week, we're looking at how to celebrate those connections right here in Kearney and Liberty. 

Father's Day: Local Ideas for Dad

Forget another tie! Here are a few ways to create a real "Legacy" memory with Dad this year: 

• Wine and Wheels Auto Show: Just a short hop south in Olathe on June 21st, this is a classic "Dad" day out with beautiful vintage cars and a family farm atmosphere. 

• The Kearney "Fun Farm" Experience: The Fun Farm is officially opening for their Spring/Summer season! Take Dad out for some strawberry picking and enjoy the 30+ farm attractions. It's the perfect way to let the "big kids" be kids for a day. 

• The Backyard BBQ: Sometimes the best legacy is built right at home. If you're grilling out this weekend, we hope your backyard is full of stories and laughter. 

Market Update: The "Mid-Summer Swing"

For those of you balancing holiday plans with a home search, here is what we are seeing in the 2026 market: 

• Stability is the Word: We've officially moved into a "steadier" phase. While home prices are still climbing modestly, inventory is up nearly 9% compared to last year. 

• What this means for you: You have more options and a little more negotiating power than we saw during the spring "frenzy." It's a great window to find a home that actually fits your needs rather than just "the only house available."
